The Rat King is a minor antagonist featured in the DreamWorks animated TV show, The Penguins of Madagascar. He is portrayed as the ruler of the New York City sewer rats.
His first appearance is in the episode "Operation: Blowhole," where he attempts to flood the zoo. He believes the zoo animals are encroaching on his territory and using the sewer system as a shortcut.
The Rat King is depicted as somewhat delusional and self-important, viewing himself as a powerful monarch despite living in the sewers. He's easily manipulated and his plans are usually thwarted by the penguins, often in humorous ways. He is shown to be a large, dirty rat, with an oversized crown.
